Tessa obtained a master in Physics and Astronomy in 2016 and a master in Engineering Physics in 2018. During the last year of her master in Engineering Physics, she did her master thesis within the LCP group on the topic of generation of ultrasonic waves for particle manipulation using piezoelectric thin films. After her successful master thesis, she decided to stay at the LCP group for a PhD on PZT applications, and obtained a FWO-SB grant to work on surface acoustic waves generation for particle manipulation using PZT thin films.
Tessa her interests are thin film applications, piezoelectric materials and acousto-microfluidics.
